Carbon Re-processing

Our Research Group has developed a CO2 Reprocessing System to recover all CO2 emissions from power & petrochemical facilities. The approach to this solution is to process the CO2 at the molecular level and economically convert it into valuable products suitable for use in the transportation and chemical industries.

Given the compelling issues surrounding energy security and the political and environmental pressure to implement Carbon sequestration technologies to avoid penalties, our development became defined by this reality.

With the experience of our management team and technology partners in the chemical reprocessing and high temperature physics disciplines, we focused our attention on preventing the release of CO2 and generating value from this plentiful resource.

• The individual components of the process are all well tested technologies that have been operating in the chemical industry for many years;
• A power facility can achieve Carbon neutral status;
• The process is energy positive, requiring no external energy;
• By reprocessing the CO2 into fuels, the process will reduce the coal feed by at least 10%, significantly reducing the facilities operating costs;
• The efficiencies created through the process, will enable an increase of 10% of the electrical output from the facility;
• The process allows for power facilities to generate revenue from the recovered CO2;

The global focus on greenhouse gas reduction has generally been on Carbon Capture & Storage technologies; however the capital and operating costs of such systems are prohibitive, and will not be implemented in many of the developing nations.

The Earth Power approach has been to develop solutions that are financially and environmentally viable and our focus on recovering the CO2 and reprocessing this into clean fuels allows power facilities to improve efficiencies, reduce costs and generate enhanced revenues without environmental damage.
